I can’t remember the exact time, but I remember it was between her first and second birthday that Bella fell in love with Hi-5. She saw it on Disney Junior and was absolutely hooked. She liked the songs (L.O.V.E.), the dances, and of course the games (her favorite was Stuck in the Mud). But most of all, she liked Stevie Nicholson! He was her absolute favorite and I know this because I would hear about it constantly. She’d tell me all about Stevie’s fun and awesome shenanigans on the show and she would always say: “Mama, Stevie is my favorite!”
So imagine her genuine happiness when she finally got to meet Stevie last year. We watched all the Hi-5 shows we could because we found out they were going to be his last and she wanted to say goodbye properly. Stevie bid Hi-5 farewell to start a brand new adventure. His love for children inspired him to a write a children’s book called “SUPERDUDES” that teaches kids that they can be all be SUPER and introduces them to an exciting cast of wacky, cool, silly, and fun superheroes.
