There are certain things about me that anyone who knows me knows. Some of those things include – I am a writer, I love creativity, I love crafts, I have an undeniable sweet tooth, I’m a geek (yes, I am!), and that I love love love (did I say love?) Harry Potter!
It’s true, I am an ultimate Harry Potter geek – and proud of it. I’ve been an avid reader of the series almost since it first began nearly 20 years ago (my first Harry Potter book was the Bloomsbury edition from a friend in London) and since the very first chapter – “The Boy that Lived” – I have been hooked. I’ve stood in line at dawn for book releases, I’ve dressed up at movie premieres, I’ve cried buckets of tears as the series got darker and deeper, and whenever anyone asks if I still love Harry Potter now as an adult, my answer is forever – “always”. In fact, as an adult, I love it even more and I can’t wait for the day I can share the magic with my daughter.
So you can only imagine how excited I was that after three years of dying to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando Florida, I finally made my way there last June. It was such an exciting trip for me and I felt nostalgic and wanted to share the experience before going back this month to the newly opened Diagon Alley!
I can’t wait to visit again! For now though, I look back with fondness at my incredible first time at Universal Studio’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was everything I had hoped it would be and more! For fellow HP fans – enjoy the photos! And if you have your own Harry Potter adventures to share – I’d love to hear them!
Honeydukes Sweet Shop had all the delicious Harry Potter inspired sweets we know and love from the books and movies including Chocolate Frogs, Cauldron Cakes, Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans, and more! Amazing!
